Popular Media Reporter and Publisher, Isamotu Sheriff has stirred conversation online after expressing strong criticism over the defection of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke
The individual, identified on Facebook as Isamotu Sheriff, described Adeleke’s alleged decision as “the biggest mistake he could make politically,” warning that such a move could affect his long-term influence in Osun politics.
In a widely shared Facebook post, Sheriff wrote that the PDP played a major role in Adeleke’s political rise and that leaving the party would weaken the governor’s political foundation.
“If it is true that Governor Adeleke is distancing himself from the PDP, then it is the biggest mistake of his career,” the post read.
“This is the same party that supported him through tough times. Walking away now will only damage his political strength.”
He added that many citizens who supported Adeleke under the PDP platform feel confused about the political direction of the state.
Sheriff also urged Osun residents to remain politically alert, noting that shifting alliances and silent political moves could have significant consequences ahead of future elections.
While Adeleke has not issued any official statement reacting to the online concerns, his aides have previously backed the decision up as one of the best decision as INEC won’t recognize any candidate elect under the Umbrella of PDP again.
Observers say the viral post reflects growing public interest in the governor’s political decisions, especially as political activities gradually build up toward the next election cycle.
