The family of 21 -year old Dorcas Oseghale, a part 3 chemistry student of Obafemi Awolowo University has renewed calls for public assistance as the young student remains missing, several month after she was last seen.
Dorcas was reported missing out to buy food on August 6, 2025 and never returned. According to her friends and roommates, she left their residence briefly and promise to come back shortly, and her phone became unreachable and she has not been sighted since then.
Despite the effort of her family, Student’s Union, Campus Security, the police and the volunteers within the university community, there has been no breakthrough in finding the 21 years old student.
Her family visibly distressed, expressed deep worry over the lack of progress
“we are begging the public. Dorcas is still missing, we have searched everywhere we can think of , but there’s still no information. please anyone with useful details should help us” , the mother pleaded.
Police have extended to their neighboring communities and popular student routes, but as at this time of filing this report, Dorcas Oseghale has not yet been found.
The school management also urged members of the public to remain alert and report any helpful information immediately
“We will continue to support the search until Dorcas is found. This situation is heartbreaking, and we call on security agencies to intensify their efforts”
